What would you do?

Tom just gave food to a woman begging door to door. At the end of the day, he'd rather be accused of being too loving than being too judgmental.

  1. I'm on Tom's end of things. At the end of our lives when we have stand in front of the judgement seat I would rather someone else take the heat because they were putting on a farce (not saying they are, but if that were so) than me taking the heat because I didn't help someone in need. We are to be God's hands and feet and we don't know all the facts behind the person standing at our door or on the corner. I would rather be the unsuspecting fool than the one that turns a person in need away.

  2. And I would agree with that. Only God can know the heart.

  3. Asking for food...yes! Asking for money....I dunno. Usually I say no, my husband is more trusting in this than I am.

We used to have ppl come by my home all the time for food when we lived in the East...our parsonage was next door to the church. Sometimes I could only make them a pb&j.

  5. The same. Perhaps invited her in for a warm cup of tea and kindness. If I felt safe.
