Ultimate Blog Party

Ultimate Blog Party 2011

My name is Alida and my husband, Tom and I are missionaries living in Belize in Central America.  We arrived here in September of 2010.  Before that we served in Krasnodar, Russia for five years.  Tom and I are currently involved in working with The Child Development Foundation providing counseling and helping to eradicate the commercial sexual exploitation of children here in Belize.

I hope that you will take the time to look around.  There are posts on the various critters we have seen, some of our travels might be interesting like our time in Istanbul, or perhaps you'd enjoy some thoughts for today.

We are so grateful for all of the experiences we have had over the past 6 years and are excited to see what God has in store for us in the future!

  26. Hi! I am returning the favor and following you back thru GFC. I not sure if you wanted twitter followers or GFC as I did sign up for both. I am not too keen on sharing my Facebook unless a sponsor requires it. My friends complain they have to wade thru alot of stuff to get to the personal. Someone suggested I make a different one but that is too much trouble too. Have a great day!

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus in a very hard place.

  47. Thanks for stopping by my place. I've joined as a follower too - I'm interested to learn more of your mission work. Recently a speaker came to our church and shared shocking information about the sex trade - children as young as 8?! I'm so thankful you're working against it. I pray for God to show me my part in 'fighting the good fight'.

    Good to meet you :)

Your heart and passion are beautiful and no doubt contagious!
When I saw that you had served in Russia, I was especially drawn in. Do you speak the language fluently? The Russian language and people are on my heart, but so far I only have 2 semesters of the language. Love learning it though. Such a beautiful rich language!

Anyway...good to meet you & may God guide and direct all you do.
