honey, guess what?

Tom had a couple of exciting things happen for him today.

The first one was; we took some photos of a table display, printed out the pictures, drove over to a local Christian bookstore, spoke with the owner and were granted permission to set up outside the store and sell jewelry.

Shortly after arriving back at the house the anvil arrives!

An anvil?

Yes, an anvil.

Tom will be able to use the anvil to hammer out silver wire to provide texture for some pieces he wants to make.

Tom has made some very beautiful pieces and his jewelry sales have been very successful during our time here. It is vital that Tom pick up any supplies he needs while we are in the states.

I wonder what the customs officials will think when we arrive in Russia with an anvil?!

  1. Congrats on being able to sell outside of the bookstore. Should be great for your business!

  2. Do you have more pictures of you Jewelry I would love to see it!

  3. HeartSong/mmw12:59 PM

I can imagine some burly Russian customs officer eyeing the anvil and asking, "Exactly what is it you do for a living?" "I'm a pastor." Ha!

  4. Heartsong... too funny! Tom got a kick out of that one!

Daughter, I will try to get some photos of Tom's jewelry... I wear it most everyday!

Thanks Melanie, Tom's jewelry sales have really come in handy while here... Gasoline is expensive and not part of our normal budget when in Russia since we don't own a car!

  5. As long as the customs official's name is not Wylie Coyote you should be okay!

  6. I was never so angry as when I had to move Rich's anvil when we moved, and he was chaplaining at a hospital!

    Those things are heavy!
